NM LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIP
March 1 Deadline (for FAFSA Submission): Eligibility criteria below. Award varies each year; it is a percentage of tuition. Contact college of choice for application process.
Resident of NM. High school diploma from a NM accredited school.
Enroll at a public post-secondary educational institution in New Mexico within sixteen months of graduation.
Enroll in and earn 15 credit hours per semester at a four-year New Mexico public university OR enroll in and earn 12 credit hours per semester at a two- year New Mexico public community college.
First semester college GPA of 2.5. Maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Students with disabilities may qualify for reduced credit hour requirements and additional semesters of the scholarship.
Deadline Varies (30 Awards per year, open until 30 qualified recipients selected): NMSU CAMP Scholarship – Eligibility for College Assistance Migrant Program (farm worker background). Award of $2000 per semester. Apply at https://camp.nmsu.edu.
Deadline Varies (open until spots are filled): UNM CAMP – At least 1 immediate family member who has spent a minimum of 75 days during the past 24 months as a migrant or seasonal farmworker. Award of $4600 financial assistance for the 1st year. Apply at https://unmcamp.unm.edu.

First Light Community Foundation Scholarship Program Application & Financial Education Opportunities
2020 CFSNM Scholarship Cycle! We have close to 30 scholarships that are for students in southern New Mexico. We have a list of scholarships on our website. It is an online application which students fill out and will be put into the scholarships that they qualify for (similar to Scholar Dollar at NMSU). Please share with students that may be interested. The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. This award is available to all students, regardless of their field of study. We are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.

The NMAA Foundation will award up to 21 scholarships totaling a max of $24,000 to NMAA member school students during the 2019-2020 school year. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals in six different categories which are listed below:
1) Compete with Class, presented by the NM National Guard (sportsmanship; max of 8 @ $1,000 each)***
2) Extraordinary Participation (excellence in academics, athletics, and activities; 2 @ $2,500 each)
3) Dan & Lucille / Gray Gladiator Athletics, presented by Subway (excellence in academics and athletics; 2 @ $1,000 each)
4) Activities, presented by Subway (excellence in academics and activities; 2 @ $1,000 each)
5) Mario Martinez Memorial (excellence in academics & multiple athletic programs from Class A-2A schools; 2 @ $1,000 each)
6) El Richards / Francis Walsh Spirit, presented by Varsity Spirit (excellence in academics & Cheer/Dance; 2 @ $1,000 each)
***Note: There is no formal application process for the Compete with Class scholarships as awards will be given to students that best exemplify the three pillars of the Compete with Class sportsmanship initiative - Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility. Recipients will be selected by the NMAA Foundation Board of Directors based on recommendations from the NMAA and its member schools. These scholarships are available to students from all grade levels, not just graduating seniors (all other scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors only and are based on an application process).
There will also be three “at-large” selections for the Coach Dick Shelley St. Michael’s High School Basketball, Ralph Ortiz BPOE Elks Club of Santa Fe, & Santa Fe Knights of Columbus Scholarships. There is no formal application for these at-large scholarships as the recipients will be chosen from the pool of individuals that apply for the categories listed above.
The NMAA Foundation has recognized individuals from over 90 different NMAA member high schools over the last twelve years. In order to honor kids from all areas of New Mexico, we need your help in passing on application information to your students. The deadline for each scholarship application is February 1st, 2020, but Compete with Class Scholarship nominations/recommendations can be made through the end of May.
