Susie Hendee- Principal

Mrs. Susie Hendee is Centennial High School’s second principal. She has worked in public education for 20 years. Mrs. Hendee began her career as a middle school teacher in Portales, NM. From there she taught in Gallup, NM then moved to Las Cruces Public Schools where she taught at Vista Middle School. Her administrative career began as an assistant principal at Vista Middle School followed by becoming an AP at Centennial High School. In 2017 she was named principal of Central Elementary School, which she states gave her an insight to the full spectrum of public education.
Mrs. Hendee received her bachelors degree from Eastern New Mexico University and her masters degree from New Mexico State University. She is a proud alumni of Deming High School and credits her teachers and mom for the encouragement throughout her educational career.
Mrs. Hendee is proud to be a Centennial Hawk where she can continue the tradition of learning excellence and preparing our students for career and academic success. She is eager to begin this school year with an amazing group of faculty, staff, students and community.
