Centennial is one of New Mexico's newest high schools, opening its doors to its students for the first time during the 2012-2013 academic school year. We are a four-year comprehensive high school with a curriculum focused on Career Pathways. Our name is a celebration of the centennial, or 100th anniversary, of our statehood. On June 21, 1910 President William H. Taft announced the signing of a bill that added "Two new stars on the American Flag," as he put it, making New Mexico and Arizona America's newest states. On January 6th, 1912 New Mexico officially became the 47th state of the Union. To learn more about our state you can visit
New Mexico's official Website.
Please come out and support our Hawks as we continue our winning tradition!

A summer experience at MIT that will change your life
Who can apply?
Students must currently be in the 11th grade in order to apply. Also, at this time, OEOP programs are limited to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents. Students who complete their application and are successful in our highly-competitive selection process generally excel in math and science and have a strong academic record.
Program costs are generously covered by our funders. Admitted students only pay for transportation to and from MIT.
The deadline to apply for Summer 2020 is February 1, 2020. Each student has the option to be considered for admission into either one of our two programs:
Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science (MITES)
This six-week summer program immerses students in life at MIT through math and science courses, a challenging hands-on elective course, admissions counseling sessions, lab tours, and social events.
MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC)
Students in this innovative online program discuss research, receive admissions and financial aid advice, and attend webinars. They also complete online science and engineering projects that they present during a five-day summer conference on MIT's campus.
Jump start your future in science and engineering at MIT!
Apply by February 1.
